I have a B.A. degree in Statistics from West Virginia University. I currently work FT for the federal government. I have been tutoring part time since 2006 working with a variety of tutoring agencies in both the DC Metro area and Dallas, TX. My specialty is statistics but I can tutor in Algebra I, II, Geometry, and college algebra/statistics. While I was in college, I tutored student athletes in math subjects like college algebra and statistics. While in high school, I taught a religious education class run through my local church. I think I have a gift for showing people how to work through difficult problems. I enjoy helping students understand the complexities of math. I like taking topics which may seem rather difficult, breaking them down and making it easier to understand. I know how difficult it can be to understand certain concepts. I find joy in helping individuals learn because I know how difficult it can be to find help when you need it. I worked with various tutoring agencies in the DC metro area as well. My strengths are algebra and statistics but I tutor most math subjects.. I have helped a lot of students taking classes at Strayer University, UMUC, and PGCC. I'm very familiar with the mymathlab website and ALEK tools as well. I enjoy helping students understand the complexities of math. I like taking topics which may seem rather difficult, breaking them down and making it easier to understand. I know how difficult it can be to understand certain concepts. I find joy in helping individuals learn because I know how difficult it can be to find help when you need it. I work with all the latest techno stuff. I have an iPad and Android phone. I try to provide extra assignments using any free apps I can find.
